The potential reinvestments for actors and co-actors of the famous Erasmus program are nevertheless diverse and unpredictable. Even the benefits expected in terms of training diverge from one University to another and may cover a great variety of aspects. The Institut Voschulstufe und Primarstufe at the Pädagogische Hochschule Bern (PHBern) trains future German-speaking primary school teachers with a three years Bachelor program. It is compulsory for all to take French as a subject and to attend a professional experience in a French-speaking environment as part of the training and therefore to articulate linguistic and intercultural competences with professional competences. Some of them choose do so by undertaking a semester as an exchanged student. The new institutional tool set at PHBern to supervise mobility, including a preparation (before), support (during) and analyze (after), is based on social anthropological approaches and addresses the notion of representations sociales.
