Entering the teaching profession presents teachers with a wide range of challenges. Cooperation can serve as a key resource in managing this transitional phase. Based on 16 semi-structured interviews with students who entered the teaching profession prior to graduation, this article explores which forms of cooperation were experienced and how they were perceived in terms of quality. The results show that the exchange and discussion of educational issues with colleagues, mentors, and school teams are perceived as especially valuable. The article concludes by deriving implications for the design of future support structures and the development of teacher induction programs.
